SUMMIT PHYSICAL THERAPY & WELLNESS

The mission at Summit is to provide an individualized, functional, and comprehensive method to therapy and training.

Physical therapy services provide a biomechanical evaluation, encompassing a combined approach of local and global assessment and treatment. Locally isolating individual joints/regions based on their specific biomechanical function, and globally integrating these individual joints/regions as an interconnected chain, creating whole body movement.

The body is connected from head to toes, and symptoms in one area can be caused by a dysfunction in an adjacent area. Evaluating the body as a whole, and understanding how the body works as a kinetic chain, allows for the cause of the symptoms/dysfunction to be identified and treated, not just the area of pain. A three-dimensional approach to functional exercise is used to enhance your musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and neurological systems. Treatment plans are based on the specific presentation and needs of the individual, and driven by the desire to return you to the activities and lifestyle that you love.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Lindsey attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Co for her undergraduate education, earning a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science.  She attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ for her graduate education, earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree (DPT).

Following graduation, she attended a post-graduate residency for neurological rehabilitation with a focus in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Rehabilitation (PNF).  Through learning the complexity of the neurological system, and its control over the musculoskeletal system as a whole body, kinetic chain, Lindsey has developed an interest and passion in biomechanics and human movement.

She has continued her education through the Gray Institute® studying 3D biomechanics and Applied Functional Science, as well as manual therapies and mobility training through the FR® and FRC® systems developed by Dr. Andreo Spina.
